This camp is geared toward experienced, intermediate, and/or novice rowers who want to sense what it is like to row, train, and live as a competitive Division I athlete. This camp can help to prepare you for summer racing, fall seasons, the start of a rowing career (for learn to row individuals) and beyond. We will utilize a mix of eights, fours, and pairs depending on skill level. The week may include, but is not limited to- general skill instruction and coaching (individual and boat focused), seat racing, erg tests, strenuous water and land workouts, video review, yoga, seminars about training, the recruiting process, and more.
This camp is designed to focus on general skill building in the sport of rowing, race strategy, competitive skills, tools for erging, and supplement basic technical knowledge. Coxswains will receive individual feedback, specific coxswain sessions and trainings, and an opportunity to create and review recordings. Row twice daily from the state of the art Cornell University Rowing Center on Cayuga Lake. Utilize the Cornell Rowing facilities on campus as well including: ergs (a variety of types) and indoor tanks.
Camp check-in takes place from 12:30-1:30pm on Sunday, July 23rd and the final session concludes at 3:30pm on Thursday, July 27th.
