Video footage of rowers will be used to help improve technique and provide instruction. Coxswains will receive direct feedback and instruction on making calls and steering.

This camp is geared toward experienced rowers who want to sense what it is like to row, train, and live as a competitive Division I athlete. This camp can help to prepare you for summer racing and beyond - including Club Nationals, Canadian Henley, and those athletes interested in training and spending time in a pair before US Junior Trials! We will focus on small boats- pairs and fours, with some rowing in eights. The camp will include seat racing, a pair matrix, erg tests, strenuous water and land workouts, video review, and individual skill-instruction and coaching.

This camp is designed to focus on race strategy, small boat competency, competitive skills, and supplement basic technical knowledge. Coxswains will receive individual feedback, video review, and an opportunity to create and review recordings. Row twice daily from the newly renovated Cornell University Rowing Center on Cayuga Lake. Utilize the Cornell Rowing facilities including: ergs, boats, and indoor tanks.

We recommend having a minimum of 2 years of rowing and racing experience. This co-ed camp will be open to a maximum of 12 male rowers, 12 female rowers and 4 coxswains. If you have concerns about whether or not this is the right camp for you, please contact the coaches directly.

If you are looking for a more typical competitive rowing camp, please check out our other camp offered in August!
