One-Day Rowing Clinic

On Sunday, March 17th we will be offering a one-day rowing clinic with an opportunity to work with Cornell Rowing coaches in a series of training sessions focused on physical training, technique, and erg test preparation.

Clinic Highlights:

  • Work in our indoor rowing tanks
  • Coordinated ergometer technique/training
  • Concentrated video analysis
  • Classroom seminar on training to be a competitive athlete and spring racing strategies
  • Special coxswain clinic offered
  • Lunch

Clinic Schedule:

  • 8:30am: Check in at Cornell Rowing Center (click here for directions)
  • 8:45-9:45am: Session 1
  • 10-11am: Session 2
  • 11am-12:15pm: Lunch
  • 12:30-1:30pm: Session 3 (on campus or at boathouse, switch from morning sessions)
  • 1:45-2:45pm: Session 4
  • 2:45pm: Depart campus

Clinic fees: $175 including all sessions and lunch *(t-shirt is included in camp fee).

One-Day Coxswain Clinic

On Sunday, March 17th we will be offering a one-day rowing clinic with an opportunity to work with Cornell Rowing coaches in a series of training sessions focused on physical training. Run concurrently with our Rowing Clinic, coxswains will spend time with a current Assistant Coach and former Division 1 coxswain on a variety of topics.

COXSWAIN CLINIC: Run concurrently with our Rowing Clinic, coxswains will spend time with a current Assistant Coach and former Division 1 coxswain on a variety of topics.

Coxswain Clinic Highlights:

  • Classroom sessions to discuss topics including:
    • Steering
    • Practice/Race prep
    • How to navigate the Coxswain/Coach and Coxswain/Rower relationship
    • Discussion on the role of the coxswain
    • Race day execution
    • One technique oriented session working with the additional rowing staff

Big Red Rowing Camp

  • Dates: July 21-25, 2019
  • Ages: 12-18
  • Price: $949 (Resident) / $649 (Commuter)

The newly revamped Big Red Rowing Camp is geared towards both boys and girls, experienced and first time rowers between the ages of 12-18.

Each camper will be placed with other rowers of similar skill, ability and work ethic during their week of rowing allowing for maximum learning opportunities.

Your days here at Cornell will be packed with two on the water skills instruction sessions out of our state of the art, newly renovated Collyer Boathouse, daily lectures covering a variety of topics ranging from erg training, nutrition and choosing the right school for you!

Campers will enjoy our top ranked dining halls on campus as well as full use of our strength and conditioning center and indoor rowing tanks. Whether you are gearing up towards a Division I rowing experience, developing your skills after your first season of rowing or taking your very first strokes on the water…Cornell Rowing Camp has it all. You will be coached by the best to be the best.

All campers will receive a t-shirt.
